As a part of OAA’s mission to develop, nurture, and affirm (DNA) our students, the elementary and high schools offer several extra-curricular activities.  Student Councils operate at both the elementary (OEMSA) and high school (OAASA) levels.  Both student government groups organize and plan social and religious activities for their school division (K-8 or 9-12) throughout the school year.  Student government officers are selected through school-wide elections.  Each class also selects class representatives to the council. Participants in student government are required to maintain a 2.5 grade point average, not have had a major discipline infraction, and be supportive of school rules and policies.

In the high school, each student is a member of the freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior class (based upon classification requirements).  Each class sponsors activities throughout the year including vespers, fund raising, and outreach.  Class organizational meetings are scheduled during Chapel time at least once per quarter.

Oakwood Adventist Academy publishes a K-12 yearbook, Quercus, annually.  High school students are encouraged to become active in the publishing of the yearbook by joining the yearbook staff.  Academic credit is available for those who take the class.
