Oakwood Adventist Academy and the Huntsville-Area Seventh-day Adventist (HASDA) School Board are excited to announce plans for a new facility for the Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. This $10m facility will include new classrooms, a media center, cafeteria, gymnasium, and auditorium. This new complex will also be used to provide distance education for other Adventist schools around the nation.
On 32 acres deeded to Oakwood Adventist Academy by Oakwood University, a new facility is planned to house K-12 classes. The complex will also include a high-school regulation size gymnasium, a auditorium, a cafeteria, media center, music suite, and administrative offices.
The architect's conceptual drawing, floor plan, and site plan are complete.
Funds to support construction are being solicited from a variety of sources: Church (Conferences and constituent churches), Corporate (local and national), and Community (parents and alumni).
